An idea meant to combine sport, nature, food and culture
Marcel Proust speaks of a little madeleine who awakens the flow of his memories in the novel “A la recherche du temps perdu”: a lost moment of his childhood, when on Sunday, he used to go to say good morning to his aunt and she offered him that tea-soaked madeleine.
The bike will forever be our little madeleine. It immediately makes us think of when our mothers prepared us some bread, butter and jam as a snack, and we set out in search of unexplored places on the hills around the house with it in our backpack.
With the help of cycling, we were able to live all the adventures that roamed in our imagination. We were pirates, explorers, astronauts, and when the sun set behind the trees, we never wanted to come back for fear of breaking that magical spell.
Sustainable tourism off the maps
BikeandTaste was born to bring back those emotions, with what’s called comfort food nowadays: a flavor that makes us close our eyes and go on an instant journey through time.
BikeandTaste is a trip that helps you discover places off the map and experience the culture of cycling in its most genuine sense. During this trip you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of passionate hoteliers, savor kilometer 0 products and taste dishes cooked with grandma’s recipes while finding out more about the stories of the land and the people who have always lived there.
BikeandTaste is like a Sunday lunch: a trip open to everyone, where everyone can have their own portion of lasagna, even a double one!
We have a bike park dedicated to every need – road, off-road, beginners, pros, muscular, electric – and expert guides and dishes that will make you feel just like when a friend reveals the shortest way to get home in time in order to watch the Giro d’Italia stage on TV.
