The structure
La Baracheta is a B&B surrounded by the hills of Valdobbiadene, the right place to recharge your batteries after hectic hours and rediscover the taste of simple things made with love.
The “baracheta” means “small shack” in the local dialect. It is precisely a characteristic wooden structure that can be found at the crossroads of vines’ rows, where, in 1933, wayfarers could savor the most genuine flavors these hills offer, such as bread with the soppressa – a typical salami of the Venetian tradition – and local cheeses together with a good glass of Prosecco. That’s how La Baracheta was born, from a story that merges land and gastronomy surrounded by the hills of Valdobbiadene and its rows of vineyards, where Maria Pia welcomes her guests with a smile and a glass of apple juice from the apple orchards of the family business. A company that, in the ‘90s, was among the first to join the register of km 0 producers.
In the fairy tale of this B&B there is a dog that guards the tractors used to work the vast countryside, and rooms that bear the name of the most juicy apples: the story of a simple place with attention to every detail, to relive the poetry of the good things and the most authentic tastes of the countryside
