Pianezze

Pianezze, the ring

In the nature among unique landscapes in the world
Next

At the bells ring of the Valdobbiadene Cathedral we start in the direction of Pianezze for a climb of around 10 kilometers that leads to about 1200 meters above sea level. The average slope is 7.3% over 11.3 kilometers and has a gain of 800 vertical meters.

The first part of the climb is immersed in the woods but after a few kilometers the vegetation gives room for suggestive views of the hills of Valdobbiadene. The climb dominates the vineyards of Prosecco and Cartizze allowing you to enjoy some kilometers’ view on the hills and the surrounding plain.

Once you reach the large square of Pianezze, you head east along the mountain’s ridge. In a pristine setting on the slopes of Monte Cesen, you descend to Combai along a winding road with numerous hairpin turns, bends and light changes. Before returning to Valdobbiadene, a stop at one of the many wineries in the area overlooking the hills is a must.

Then, if you want to further discover the area of Pianezze and Mount Cesen, starting from the Pianezze square you can choose from the many MTB routes that can be found in the region and, why not, take some time to eat the traditional dishes in one of the typical cottages that complete the offer of the area.
